It has contact killing and stomach poisoning effects on insects and mites. It also has weak fumigation effect and has no internal absorption effect. Its mechanism of action is different from that of general insecticides is  that it interferes with neurophysiological activities and stimulates the release of r-aminobutyric acid,which inhibits the nerve conduction of arthropods.
